The AEM Foundation is targeting students living in distressed communities who attend public schools in predominantly African and Latino communities. In many of these communities, you will not find the same outlook of life as compared those who have inherited knowledge, wealth, educational opportunity, privilege, or born into other advantages in life. There is an old saying “knowledge is power.” 

Those who have never traveled outside of their immediate neighborhood or taught basic principals at home find themselves in the midst of limited resources, despair, hopelessness, and often times living in the midst of a violent, destructive and below standard life styles.
